Inflate Flat Sports Balls with Compressed Air Cans

Inflate Flat Sports Balls with Compressed Air Cans

If it seems like you can never find a pump to inflate your ball when you want to play a game of basketball or soccer, you may not be totally out of luck.

Osas Obaiza at WonderHowTo points out that a can of compressed air is capable of topping off a slightly deflated ball, no needle required. As it turns out, the thin straw that comes with the can will fit inside the inflation hole on most sports balls. Once you're sure it's inside, fill it up with short bursts of air until it's inflated to your satisfaction. Obviously, a pump will be a lot cheaper in the long run, but this is a good trick to remember in an emergency.

If you don't have a compressed air can handy, check out the source link for some more creative ideas, like borrowing air from your car tire, or even a balloon.
